The Paper Transformable project explores how paper can be used to create a container that can transform into a different form factor.

My design, conceptualized via sketches and realized via laser cutting, provides a solution to keeping two foods separate and combining the foods easily and on-demand.

Inspired by Chinese takeout boxes, the design stacks two compartments separated by two tabs that are pulled out, causing the upper food to fall into the lower food. Soggy foods are a catastrophe of the past.

Further, the now-empty upper compartment easily tears off and unfolds into a plate for the lower compartment.
